Dow jumps 100 points premarket despite second wave fears

The stocks on the major United Stated markets rose in the premarket on Monday after trading mixed earlier in the day. As new coronavirus cases surged in Florida, Arizona, and Texas, traders also kept a watchful eye on the development around Facebook and an increasing number of companies jumping on the bandwagon to boycott ads on the social media platform.

The Dow Jones gained 0.57% or 154 points at 6:14 am ET, while the S&P 500 jumped 0.46%. At 6:06 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 went up 0.07%.

The euro grew 0.48% versus the dollar to sell for $1.12724 at 6:06 am ET.
