Dow kicks off higher as US eyes new aid package

Shares on Wall Street traded mostly in the green territory at the opening bell on Monday as investors' optimism over the United States' economic recovery increases.

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett claimed that the Trump administration plans to back the economy with another stimulus package in July. Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump asserted he is building again "the greatest economy in the World" after the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dow climbed 0.45% or more than 100 index points as Boeing surged over 8%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.19% at the same time with Noble Energy Inc jumped more than 12%. The Nasdaq 100 slid 0.24% at the opening bell as ASML Holding lost nearly 2%.

The euro ticked 0.15% higher against the greenback, going for 1.13090 at 9:29 am ET.
