DAX jumps to highest level since early March

DAX traded on highest levels in close to three months as some optimism regarding Germany's economy emerged after the Ifo Institute's data on improving economic sentiment was published. Meanwhile, reports said that the Berlin government wants to give €50,000 per month to small and medium-sized German companies until December and is close to reaching a deal with Lufthansa on state aid.

The German index surged over 240 points during the day and was up 2.13% at 2 pm CET.

The euro was up 0.10% against the dollar, going for 1.09130 at 2:01 pm CET.
