Crude benchmarks pushed higher on Thursday ahead of the crucial meeting of OPEC and allied producers which could end the month-long Saudi-Russia price war.

Investors expect the cartel and allies to agree on substantial output cuts after failing to reach a consensus at their previous meeting.

West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery jumped 4.03% to $26.10 a barrel at 2:40 am ET. At the same time, June Brent crude climbed 1.92% to $33.47 per barrel.
