Europe finishes in green ahead of Biden inaguration

Major stock markets in Europe closed higher on Wednesday ahead of Joe Biden's inauguration as the 46th president of the United States. Concerns regarding delays in coronavirus vaccine deliveries and the continued rise in COVID-19 cases failed to offset investor optimism. On data, the consumer price index reports for the Eurozone and the United Kingdom, alongside British and German producer prices statisctics were published today.

The FTSE grew 0.41% at end of the session as Pearson plc jumped 8.10%. The DAX was up 0.77% with Daimler AG climbing 4.15%. The CAC 40 advanced 0.53% as Thales Group gaining 4.29%.

The euro lost 0.22% against the greenback at 5:29 pm CET to sell for 1.20998. The pound increased just 0.05% to change hands for 1.36414 dollars concurrently.
