Apple Inc. intends to keep its retail stores across the United States closed until May as a measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

An internal memo from the company suggested the closures will be extended over worries about the virus, as the number of cases in the country continues to rise, according to Bloomberg.

Previously, a report suggested the company's stores in the US will continue operating in the first week of April.
