Director of the United States National Economic Council Larry Kudlow told CNBC on Friday that there are "no major supply chain problems" in the US so far due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, noting that as far as the epidemic goes, the US side "should be very calm."

"We are in pretty good shape here in the US," the official underlined, adding that the "Chinese side is very different."

Asked about the US GDP growth projections in the first quarter, which according to the latest estimates put the number at 2.6%, Kudlow stressed that he is optimistic about the projections but that it "remains to be seen whether the number holds."
