European stocks lower premarket

European equities were lower on Tuesday during premarket trade with the focus on the 50th World Economic Forum in Davos. The International Monetary Fund revised its global growth outlook to 3.3% from 3.4%. Meanwhile, President of the Eurogroup Mario Centeno stated the euro area economy continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace. On earnings, UBS Group AG reported its net profit declined 5% on an annual basis.

The FTSE 100 was down 0.49% at 7:29 am CET, while the DAX lost 0.40%. The CAC 40 slipped 0.48%.

The euro and the pound were both flat at 7:28 am, changing hands for $1.10954 and $1.30090 respectively.
