Palladium adds 1.5%, gold steady, focus on Fed minutes

Palladium traded around 1.5% in the green on Monday, reversing losses from the previous session when the precious metal lost 1%. Meanwhile, gold remained steady, trading slightly in the red as investors focused on the upcoming minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) due for release later this week.

Palladium added 1.64%, changing hands for $1,337.66 per ounce at 12:42 pm ET, trading above the price of gold. Spot gold was down 0.12%, selling for $1,276.39 per ounce at the same time. In the meantime, silver increased 0.20% to trade for $14.45 per ounce at 12:44 pm ET while platinum fell 0.67% to go for $813.60 per ounce at 12:45 pm ET.

The euro gained 0.09% against the US dollar to sell for 1.1168 at 12:46 pm ET.
