United States stocks traded flat to lower in Monday's premarket trading on concerns surrounding the trade dispute between Washington and Beijing. The US Commerce Department issued a ban on Huawei citing national security concerns, which prompted a number of companies, including tech giant Google Llc, to halt their operations with the Chinese telecommunications company. Additionally, earlier reports indicated that German chipmaker Infineon decided to suspend all shipments to Huawei.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was 0.05% above the flat line premarket. The Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.45%, while the S&P 500 was flat, only 0.01% in the negative territory during premarket trading.

Meanwhile, the euro was relatively unchanged compared to the dollar, selling for 1.1161 at 5:55 am ET.
