Europe opens higher ahead of data

European stock exchanges opened in the green territory on Wednesday as markets prepared for private sector activity data reports for the Eurozone, the United Kingdom and Germany. Before the start of the trading session, Commerzbank reported an 18.1% quarterly drop in revenues and a consolidated loss of €527 million for the second trimester of 2021.

The DAX was up 0.63% at 9:03 am CET as Adidas rose by 1.75% and lead the gains concurrently. London's FTSE 100 was 0.44% higher at 9:00 am CET with Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, its best performer, increasing 2.02% at 9:01 am CET. The CAC 40 advanced 0.41% at 9:00 am as Societe Generale grew 2.19% at 9:02 am CET.

The euro increased 0.12% in comparison to the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for 1.18784. The British pound gained 0.19% against the greenback, changing hands for 1.39421 at the same time.
