US markets end lower as tech falls

Wall Street ended with losses on Thursday as technology stock contributed most to the decline. Throughout the day, investors focused on the TikTok-Oracle deal as President Donald Trump is set to announce his decision on it by the end of the week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.47%, with Goldman Sachs declining 2.92%. The Nasdaq 100 dropped 1.48% at the end of the day. Illumina dropped 7.58% after reports said it was looking to buy Grail. The S&P 500 finished 0.84% in the red, with Facebook and eBay listed among its worst performers.

The euro was up 0.28% compared to the dollar and went for 1.18485 at 4:08 pm ET.
