Oil and natural resources company ExxonMobil Corp. will be booted from the Dow Jonas Industrial Index, along with Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc. and a US defense contractor Raytheon Technologies Corp. The three are set to be replaced by Salesforce.com, Amgen Inc., and Honeywell International Inc. with the changes effective before the market opens on Monday, August 31. The alterations follow Apple Inc.'s four-for-one stock split effective since Monday, August 24, which will increase the number of common shares in the company, also lowering the index's weight in the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) Information Technology sector. |
