Silver hits $19 per ounce, reaches 10-month high

Silver hit $19 per ounce on Thursday to trade on highs last recorded in September 2019.

The move comes a day after gold traded on levels from 2011 amid the coronavirus pandemic and rising tensions between the United States and China.

Spot silver went for $18.95 as it jumped 1.22% at 4:19 am ET. It is now up 8.04% over the past month. Meanwhile, gold was up 0.16%, trading for $1,812.26 per ounce at 4:20 am ET.
