Dow jumps 200 pts after positive data

The Dow Jones extended gains on Wednesday after economic data showed the service sector grew in November, while private payrolls increased by 67 000. The benchmark index, however, has yet to recover from yesterday's plunge.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated in London that trade talks with China are "going well." Earlier in the day, it was reported Washington and Beijing are close to agreeing on withdrawing tariffs as a part of the "phase one" deal.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index was up by 201 points at 11:06 am ET, or 0.73%, with Dow Inc. as the best performer. The Nasdaq 100 climbed by 0.70%, led by Expedia, at the same time, while the S&P 500 traded 0.75% in the green.

The euro added 0.07% against the dollar at 11:08 am ET, selling for $1.10884.
