US shares fall premarket, Dow loses over 200 points

Stocks in the United States traded with losses in the premarket, with the Dow Jones falling over 200 points. Investors monitored the start of the new administration and considered possible decisions President Joe Biden could take, including a new coronavirus stimulus bill. Meanwhile, the Republican opposition is warning Biden's executive orders will "kill union jobs and hurt US energy security."

The Dow Jones lost 207 points or 0.66% at 4:40 am ET. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 was down 0.59%, while the Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.52% at the same time.

The euro traded flat against the dollar, selling for 1.21686 at 4:42 am ET.
