Zurich, 9 December 2009 --- The Board of Directors has appointed
Giovanni Flury and Yves Robert-Charrue as Members of the Executive
Board of Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. as of 1 January 2010. Giovanni
Flury will succeed Bernard Keller as Head of the market region Ticino
and Italy, while Yves Robert-Charrue will become the new Head of the
Bank's Investment Solutions Group. Bernard Keller will remain Member
of the Bank's Executive Board as Head Switzerland and join the
Executive Board of Julius Baer Group Ltd. as of 1 January 2010.

Giovanni Flury, aged 55, will assume his new function as Head of the
Ticino and Italian market as of 1 January 2010. He can draw from more
than two decades of experience in the financial services industry in
Ticino. He joined the Group's Lugano-based operations in 2000 as Head
of Private Banking and a member of the local management team and
became deputy of Bernard Keller in 2007.

Yves Robert-Charrue, aged 36, will become Head of Investment
Solutions Group as of 1 January 2010. He will take over from Boris
F.J. Collardi who successfully realigned this important function of
Bank Julius Baer and headed it during 2009. Yves Robert-Charrue
joined Julius Baer early 2009 as Head of Funds and Product Management
responsible for managing the full spectrum of investment funds
globally. He gained a broad experience at Credit Suisse.

Bernard Keller, aged 56, shaped the Group's Ticino and Italian
operations during the past seventeen years with great success. As a
very experienced private banking professional he will continue to
contribute to Julius Baer's client-centric management culture also as
Member of the Group's Executive Board. Bernard Keller will remain
Member of the Bank's Executive Board in his new function as Head
Switzerland.
