US higher premarket with COVID-19 in focus

Wall Street registered slight gains in Wednesday's premarket session a day after the White House renewed its call for federal states to impose COVID-19 vaccine mandates similar to that recently signed by President Joe Biden.

Meanwhile, a report showed Pfizer plans to request approval of its vaccine for use in kids aged 5-11 from the Food and Drug Administration. In business news, Apple yesterday held its annual event showcasing several new products including multiple models of its iPhone 13.

The Dow Jones increased by 0.15% at 4:12 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 rose by 0.28% and the S&P 500 by 0.21%. The euro gained 0.13% against the dollar to sell for 1.18184 a minute later.
