Europe trades higher in premarket after selloff

European stocks were in the green in premarket trading on Tuesday as indexes recovered some losses from the previous day's selloff caused by increased coronavirus pandemic fears. However, sentiment improved slightly as officials in the United Kingdom announced they will set new containment measures to prevent a surge in cases in October and November.

The DAX increased by 0.49% at 7:28 am CET. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.40% at 7:27 am CET and the CAC 40 gained 0.49% at 7:20 am CET.

The euro lost 0.09% to go for 1.17598 against the dollar at 7:31 am CET. At the same time, the pound was 0.08% lower against the greenback, changing hands for 1.28061.
