Credit Suisse announces new investment banking leadership

Credit Suisse announced on Monday its investment banking and capital markets (IBCM) CEO James L. Amine is stepping down from the position and leaving the lender's executive board effective immediately.

Amine will assume the newly created New York-based role as head of private credit opportunities, while David Miller will replace him as IBCM CEO and member of the executive board.

The bank also noted that asset management CEO and president and CEO of Credit Suisse Holdings (USA) Eric Varvel will replace Harold Bogle as IBCM chairman, while Bogle will become vice-chairman of the group executive office.
