Credit Suisse EPS in 2018 stands at 0.78 Swiss francs

Credit Suisse Group announced on Thursday that its net revenue in the last quarter of 2018 stood at 4.8 billion Swiss francs, a 1.77% drop compared to the previous quarter and a 7.48% reduction year on year. Earnings per share (EPS) in the whole of 2018 were 0.78 Swiss francs an increase versus the same interval previous year, as the EPS recorded a loss of 0.86 Swiss francs.

Net income in the Q4 was 288 million Swiss francs, dropping 29.7% since the previous quarter, and adding up to a total of 2.04 billion Swiss franks for the whole 2018. For 2019, the company's board of directors approved a share buyback program of Credit Suisse's ordinary shares of up to CHF 1.5 billion.

“We have achieved Group reported pre-tax income of 3.4 billion Swiss francs, 90% higher than in 2017. Net income attributable to shareholders reached 2.1 billion Swiss francs. This is our first annual post-tax profit since 2014 and it was only achieved thanks to the support of our clients, investors and other key stakeholders and the hard work of our teams," chief executive officer of Credit Suisse Tidjane Thiam said.
