US higher premarket as USMCA sign date set

Shares on the United States markets traded higher in the premarket on Friday, following the White House announcement that President Donald Trump will sign the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) on January 29. Meanwhile, the World Economic Forum in Davos is wrapping up today after five days of meetings and panels.

In business news, Broadcom Inc reached an agreement with Apple on two multi-year deals of wireless components supply, while Intel Corporation published its 2019 revenue which stood at a record $72 billion, marking an increase of 2% from the previous fiscal year.

The Dow Jones was up 0.29% at 4:42 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.61% at the same time. The S&P 500 advanced 0.31% at 4:43 am ET. The euro traded 0.12% lower against the dollar, changing hands for 1.10434 at 04:42 am ET.
