Hicks does not answer questions about WH

Former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks did not answer any questions related to her time with the administration during her closed-door testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. She spoke of her time on US President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, but White House attorneys objected to questions referring to her career after Trump took office, according to lawmakers present at the hearing.

"Hope Hicks answered some questions. She gave us a lot of good information. The White House asserted so-called absolute immunity, which is ridiculous and which we'll destroy in court," said the committee Chairman Jerry Nadler.

House Democrats were hoping to ask Hicks about the president's potential obstruction of justice, as well as the hush-money payments to two women made during the 2016 campaign. However, she denied knowledge of the payments.
