Asian stocks mixed with trade, Hong Kong in focus

Asian markets traded mixed in early trading on Tuesday as investors continued to focus on trade developments between the United States and China and the protests in Hong Kong. The US decided to delay the ban against Huawei by another three months, while Beijing is said to be pessimistic about reaching an agreement with Washington.

The Nikkei 225 declined 0.18% at 3:20 am CET. The dollar traded flat against the yen to go for 108.6160 at 3:21 am CET.

South Korea's Kospi fell 0.45% at 3:24 am CET.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng jumped 0.87% at 3:22 am CET. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite rose 0.36% at 3:21 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite climbed 0.69% at 3:08 am CET.

The S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.35% at 3:24 am CET.
