Markets in Asia traded mostly higher on Friday after the positive notions White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow gave about the United States and China finally "getting close" to an agreement amid trade talks. However, both countries still couldn't agree on the size of Chinese agricultural purchases and the tariffs' level for a potential no-deal scenario. Also, Japan released its industrial production results for October and it has increased by 1.7% on a monthly basis.

Japan's Nikkei 225 closed 0.70% higher, while the South Korean Kospi Composite grew by 1.07% at 7:30 am CET. Hang Seng increased by 0.16% at 7:19 am CET and Shanghai Composite fell by 0.27% at 7:04 am CET. Shenzhen Composite declined by 0.54% at 7:20 am CET and the Australian S&P/ASX 200 closed 0.87% higher.

The dollar rose against the yen by 0.14% to go for ¥108.577 at 7:21 am CET.
