US markets higher after Trump impeachment vote

United States stocks were higher during premarket trade on Thursday as the focus remained on the second impeachment of President Donald Trump. Investors were waiting for today's batch of corporate earnings, which include BlackRock Inc. and Delta Air Lines Inc., as well as this week's jobless claims report.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.38% at 4:35 am ET, while the S&P 500 gained 0.32%. The Nasdaq 100 was unchanged at the same time.

The euro was flat against the greenback at 4:34 am ET, selling for 1.21598 dollars.
