Europe higher premarket after earnings reports

Major European shares traded higher in the premarket on Wednesday as Commerzbank and Allianz released their earnings reports for the second quarter of 2020, unveiling drops in their revenues. Traders remain watchful of the July Markit service data for Germany, Eurozone, and the United Kingdom, which is to be revealed later in the day.

The DAX traded 0.35% higher at 8:00 am CET, while at the same time, the FTSE 100 rose by 0.20% and the CAC 40 went up by 0.25%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar to sell for $1.18044 at 8:01 am CET. At the same moment, the pound sterling gained 0.05% against the greenback, with the exchange rate of 1.30788.
