Europe mostly higher premarket amid earnings

Major European stocks traded mostly higher in the premarket on Tuesday as German pharmaceutical company Bayer and British Petroleum (BP) are revealing their earnings reports for the second quarter of 2020. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom maintains mandatory quarantine for travelers from Spain amid rising coronavirus concerns, whilst France postponed ratifying extradition agreement with Hong Kong in the light of China's national security law.

The DAX rose by 0.24% at 7:36 am CET, while at the same time, the CAC went up by 0.32% and the FTSE 100 stood flat.

The euro gained 0.06% to the dollar with the exchange rate of 1.17697 at 7:27 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling stood flat against the greenback to sell for $1.30714.
