Asian stocks mixed, trailing behind Wall Street

Stock markets in Asia traded mixed on Thursday, trailing behind their Nort hAmerican counterparts. United States' equities traded sharply higher after the Federal Reserve's Open Market Committee stated that the rate-setters had no "pre-set course" for future cuts. In the meantime, US treasury yield curves inverted for the second time this month, sparking fears of a global economic slowdown.

The Shanghai Composite was trading flat at 4:28 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite added 0.27% concurrently. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dipped by 0.58% at 4:29 am CET on local political instability.

The Nikkei 225 rose 0.12% at 4:30 am CET. The dollar lost 0.15% against the yen, to go for 106.4665 at the same time.

The S&P/ASX 200 in Australia j\increased by 0.47% at 3:31 am CET, while South Korea's Kospi Composite slid 0.45% at 4:11 am CET.
