Google launches COVID-19 data platform

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced on Wednesday the launch of the COVID-19 data platform backed by Google.

He tweeted: "@Googleorg Fellows worked with researchers around the world to create an open-access platform with millions of anonymized COVID-19 cases from 100+ countries, helping epidemiologists to model the trajectory, track its variants & future infectious diseases"

Complete website, dubbed Global.health, enables open access to more than 5 million anonymized Covid-19 records from 160 countries. The project is supported by $1.25 million in funding and other resources from Google.org, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation.
