PACCAR up over 10% on self-driving truck plans

Shares of PACCAR Inc. surged over 10% on Thursday after the company announced it is planning to develop autonomous heavy-duty trucks with Silicon Valley startup Aurora Innovation Inc.

The company said it aims to incorporate Aurora's software and hardware into its Peterbilt and Kenworth brand trucks in hopes of bringing self-driving trucks to the market in the "next several years."

PACCAR traded 11.36% in the green at 12:15 pm ET, selling for $99.55 per share.
