Amazon Inc. announced on Thursday the company has invested $100 million in new warehouses in Mexico, including shipping and fulfillment centers, and delivery stations.

"The construction of a solid infrastructure network allows the company to stay closer than ever to clients, and thanks to that, it’s possible to offer fast deliveries," Amazon stated, adding that the investment in 69,000 square meters of the new working area should create around 1,500 new jobs.

Amazon officially expanded to Mexico's market in 2015. Since then, the company has opened a total of 27 delivery stations, five fulfillment centers and two classification centers.
