Asia trades higher after SoftBank, Nvidia deal

Asian markets traded higher on Monday after SoftBank Group Corp. agreed to sell British Arm Ltd. to Nvidia Corp. for $40 billion. Following the news, SoftBank's shares gained over 9%. Meanwhile, reports indicate that ByteDance Ltd. agreed to sell TikTok's United States operations to Oracle Corp.

The Nikkei gained 0.76% at 4:25 am CET. In South Korea, the Kospi added 1.25% at 4:07 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was 0.66% up at 4:30 am CET.

China's Shenzhen Composite traded 1.19% in the green at 4:28 am CET, while the Shanghai Composite increased by 0.64% at the same time. The Hang Seng rose by 0.76% at 4:29 am CET.

The dollar was flat compared to the yen and sold for 106.1255 at 4:31 am CET.
