Asian stocks lower amid rising coronavirus cases |

Equities on major Asia-Pacific stock markets traded lower on Friday with the focus on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Sony Corp. announced it was buying a stake in Epic Games. Bank of Japan reported the country's producer price index decreased 1.6% year-over-year. The Shanghai Composite index was 1.05% in the red at 4:34 am CET, while Shenzhen Composite lost 0.28% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.81% at 3:35 am CET. Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 0.31% concurrently. The dollar traded 0.11% lower against the yen and sold for ¥107.0875 at 3:35 am CET. The South Korean Kospi Composite decreased 0.62% at 3:36 am CET. The S&P/ASX 200 was down 0.11% in Australia at 4:35 am CET. |
