Asia mostly higher after encouraging Chinese data |

Equities on the Asian markets traded higher on Wednesday after it was reported that China’s manufacturing sector marked a monthly rise in business activity compared to the increase seen in May. In mainland China, the Shenzhen Composite added 0.68% at 4:29 am CET, while the Shanghai Composite, increased by 0.38% at 4:14 am CET. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell by 0.19% while South Korea's Kospi gained 0.89% at 4:30 am CET. The Australian S&P/ASX 200 rose by 0.68% a minute later. Markets in Hong Kong were closed for trading on Wednesday for a holiday. The dollar, however, fell 0.19% against the yen, going for ¥107.7320 at 04:33 am CET. |
