Buffett's BH takes new position in Biogen, Kroger

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway announced on Friday that it took new stakes in Biogen Inc and Kroger Co. Meanwhile, the firm also increased its stakes in General Motors, Liberty SiriusXM Group, Occidental Petroleum, Restoration Hardware Holdings and Suncor Energy.

However, Berkshire lowered its stakes in American Airlines, Apple, and The Travelers Company. A number of banks also saw Berkshire's stake decrease, as the company sold stocks of Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Bank of New York and Well Fargo.

Kroger shares surged 6.06% after hours while Biogen was up 1.5% after the news broke.
