Lufthansa Group prolongs China flights suspension

Lufthansa Group announced on Monday that its members Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian Airlines will not be flying to Shanghai and Beijing until February 29 due to the coronavirus outbreak. Flights to smaller centers such as Nanjing, Shenyang and Qingdao will remain suspended until March 28. The move will influence a total of 54 regular weekly flights to mainland China.

However, the group said that its 19 weekly flights to Hong Kong will not be affected. Lufthansa AG traded 1.23% higher at 4:03 am CET.

Initially, Lufthansa had planned to restart mainland China operations on February 9.
