Death toll of coronavirus 170, spreads to Tibet

The death toll of coronavirus has risen to 170 on Thursday and Chinese authorities said that there are 7,711 confirmed cases of infected people in China with 1,032 new cases in Hubei. Also, the first infected person has been reported in Tibet.

Meanwhile, in the United States, President Donald Trump said he received a briefing on the deadly virus and confirmed US agencies are working closely with Chinese authorities. White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said that major American carriers are voluntarily placing restrictions on flights from China due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, but that the further restrictions are being discussed.

Cathay Pacific and Air Canada have scaled back flights to and from China, while both British Airways and Lufthansa announced yesterday that they're halting all direct flights to mainland China. United Airlines, American Airlines, Air Asia, Air India, IndiGo and Finnair have also said they will be cutting the number of flights to China.
