Wall Street opens mixed ahead of data

Trading on Wall Street kicked off mixed on Monday after fresh comments from United States President Donald Trump, who said the US is getting "massive amounts" of money from tariffs imposed on Chinese imports. Also, investors are awaiting the US Markit Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) as well as US ISM Manufacturing PMI. Chinese manufacturing data also showed that factory activity in the country reached a three-year high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average started 0.20% higher led by Walmart Inc that was up by 0.16%. Nasdaq 100 fell 0.10% with Biogen as the worst performer diving 2.95%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 added 0.09% at the open with the NRG Energy Inc. that grew by 0.25%.

The euro grew 0.24% against the dollar at 9:33 am ET, buying 1.10420.
