BoJ's Kuroda calls for 'wise' fiscal spending

Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda (pictured left) called on the Japanese government to implement "wise" fiscal spending in the country, mostly to diminish and respond to the consequences of climate change.

Speaking at a lecture, Kuroda stressed that fiscal spending capabilities of the government in Tokyo remain "partially limited."

Kuroda went to on highlight that fiscal and monetary policy must be used simultaneously to escape a recession, pointing out that yield curve control can make fiscal policy "more effective."
