Europe rises in premarket after delay on Brexit vote

European equities were higher in premarket trading on Monday after British MPs delayed a vote on Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Brexit deal. During a rare Saturday session of Parliament, lawmakers passed the Letwin amendment, forcing Johnson to request a new delay on Brexit in a letter that he did not sign.

The DAX jumped 0.26% at 7:30 am CET, while the FTSE 100 gained 0.21%. At the same time, the euro fell 0.06% against the dollar, buying 1.11615 as the pound dropped 0.53% versus the US currency, going for 1.29055.
