Sterling declines amid Brexit deal uncertainty

The British currency decreased on Monday after the United Kingdom's Parliament voted on Saturday to adopt MP Oliver Letwin's amendment on the Brexit deal, which obligates Prime Minister Boris Johnson to seek another postponement for Britain's departure from the European Union. Although European Council President Donald Tusk revealed he received the Brexit delay letter from Johnson, but the UK PM reportedly did not sign it.

The pound was 0.44% lower in comparison to the dollar to go for 1.29180 at 3:23 am CET. The euro increased by 0.36% against the British currency, selling for 0.86385 at 3:25 am CET. Sterling dipped 0.32% against the Swiss franc, rating at 1.27320 at 3:26 am CET. The pound dropped 0.39% in comparison to the Japanese yen, buying 140.14000 at the same time.
