Wall Street slightly higher premarket amid earnings

The United States stock markets were mostly higher during premarket trading on Thursday with the focus remaining on the corporate earnings reports, as well as the trade war between Washington and Beijing. Chinese Commerce Ministry confirmed the "phase one" trade agreement was being written while the next round of negotiations was being prepared. Philip Morris International Inc. and Morgan Stanley were set to release their profit reports later during the day.

The Dow Jones traded flat at 4:30 am ET. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 rose 0.34% and 0.14% respectively.

The euro was unchanged against the dollar at 4:29 am ET, to sell for $1.10745. The pound fell 0.38% to change hands for $1.27818 at the same time.
