Asia-Pacific stocks mixed with trade, data in focus

Equities on major stock markets in Asia traded mixed on Tuesday with investors focusing on trade issues, as well as the Chinese economic data. Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. dropped the lawsuit against the United States for the seizure of its telecommunications equipment. Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam warned Washington against meddling in the special administrative region's affairs.

The Nikkei 225 jumped 0.30% at 7:30 am CET. The dollar advanced 0.12% against the yen, changing hands for 107.3730 at 7:30 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite Index traded 0.34% lower at 7:30 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite Index lost 0.50% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng grew 0.09% at the same time.

South Korea's Kospi dropped 0.52% at 7:11 am CET. In Australia, ASX/S&P 200 was 0.66% in the red at 7:32 am CET.
