The United Kingdom's International Trade Secretary Liam Fox and Business Secretary Greg Clark became the latest ministers to tender their resignations following Theresa May's departure from Downing Street, UK media reported on Wednesday.

Both men announced that they would be stepping down in a series of tweets on their respective profiles. They congratulated Boris Johnson on becoming the country's next prime minister and said that he was "right to appoint a new team for a new premiership." Defense Secretary Penny Mordaunt also announced her departure following Johnson's first speech as prime minister outside Downing Street.

The trio's resignations add to a growing list of ministers who are following May in leaving No. 10. De facto Deputy Prime Minister David Lidington and Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond are among the high-profile figures to have resigned in the last few days.
