Asian stocks rise after Fed

Markets in Asia traded higher on Thursday after digesting news from the United States Federal Reserve which hinted to a rate cut in the near future while the Bank of Japan left interest rates unchanged. Japan announced its industry activity increased in April.

Meanwhile, optimism remained solid as the US and China are started trade talks once again and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang told CEOs of foreign companies that his country wants more openness in business.

The Nikkei 225 jumped 0.63% at 7:57 am CET.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng surged 0.84% at 7:59 am CET. The Shenzhen Composite jumped 1.95% at 8 am CET and the Shanghai Composite surged 2.11% at 7:45 am CET.

Korea's Kospi was 0.20% higher at 8:01 am CET.

The S&P/ASX 200 increased by 0.52% at 8 am CET.

The dollar fell 0.45% to 107.6210 at 8:03 am CET.
