Asia trades mixed after Wall Street rebound

Asian markets traded mixed on Friday following an upbeat Wall Street session which saw the Dow Jones jump 300 points in the course of the day and close over 200 points higher. Meanwhile, the relations between the United States and China were not improved by Washington's decision to blacklist Chinese tech giant Huawei for "activities that are contrary to US national security."

Japanese Nikkei 225 gained 0.76% at 4:20 am CET. South Korean Kospi Composite rose 0.68% at 4:01 am CET.

China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.64% at 4:20 am CET. The Shenzhen Composite lost 0.60% at 4:22 am CET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 0.25% at 4:23 am CET.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 added 0.82% at 4:22 am CET.

The dollar traded 0.09% higher against the yen to go for ¥109.9370 at 4:24 am CET.
