Europe starts higher, Brexit deal receives EU approval

European stocks were higher in the early trading on Monday as United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May's deal on the country's departure from the European Union received an endorsement by the European leaders. The deal, however, is yet to be voted on in the British parliament where May faces opposition in all parties. Additionally, the prime minister reportedly plans to hold a television debate with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn ahead of the vote.

The FTSE 100 traded 0.90% in the green at 9:15 am CET. The best performer was Fresnillo Plc. surging 4.74% at 9:15 am CET. The DAX gained 1.21% at 9:15 am CET with Covestro AG shares trading 3.23% higher at the same time. The Eurostoxx 50 added 1.30% at 9:15 am CET led by the gains in the banking sector. The CAC 40 increased 1.23% at 9:16 am CET. The best trading stock was STMicroelectronics, adding 3.86% at 9:16 am CET

The euro advanced 0.33% against the dollar to sell for 1.1367 at 9:16 am CET.
