Europe to open with losses

Stock markets in Europe are seen as opening in the red according to major index futures on the continent as investors await the United States Federal Reserve interest rate decision which is due next week.

DAX futures traded 0.22% lower at 8:05 a.m. CET and EuroStoxx 50 was seen opening 0.30% down. Deutsche Bank is negotiating a deal to settle a mortgage-backed securities probe in the U.S. for $14 billion. After closing 1.20% in the green yesterday, but its shares fell around 7% on the news in afterhours trading.

The FTSE and CAC are also expected to start the day with losses.
