US opens higher on promising data

Major stock markets in the United States opened higher on Tuesday amid several economic updates that are being released during the day. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller both observed monthly and annual rises in house prices in March. Traders will also keep an eye on the country's latest results in new home sales and consumer confidence.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened 0.22% higher as The Boeing Company grew by 1.26%. The Nasdaq 100 went up by 0.44%, with Trip.com Group Limited increasing by 3.53%. The S&P 500 advanced by 0.27% as Royal Caribbean Group rose by 2.77%.

The euro gained 0.28% against the dollar to sell for $1.22493 at 9:27 am ET.
